Why isn't the anesthesia code the same as the surgical code?
They describe two different things:
The surgical CPT code describes the procedure being done.The anesthesia code describes the anesthesia service provided for it.Anesthesia is reported with base units + time units + modifiers — not one all-inclusive code.
Exam tip — if the question names the anesthesiologist, you want the 00100–01999 range, never the surgical CPT.

Am I eligible to sit for the CPC® exam?
AAPC requires membership to sit for the exam, and recommends an associate's-level education plus knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology and pathophysiology. Two years of coding experience is recommended but not required — without it you'll earn the CPC-A apprentice designation until you document experience.
How many questions are on the real CPC® exam?
100 multiple-choice questions across 17 knowledge areas, with a four-hour time limit. You need 70% to pass, and the exam is open-book for approved CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS Level II manuals.
How does this app help me pass?
It removes the decision of what to study. The readiness score weighs coverage and accuracy across every blueprint section, then routes each session at your weakest areas. Every answer is explained — including why the other three options fail — so you build the reasoning the exam actually tests.
How is this different from free flashcard decks?
